Born February 8, 1934, to Gordon and Nancy Kerr of Chicago, he graduated from Bradley University in 1956, and served in the USAF from 1956-59. His long career with Kimberly Clark Corporation lasted 38 years, and he retired in San Antonio to enjoy his family and golf. He served as a discussion leader in Bible Study Fellowship for several years, and as Deacon and teacher at Castle Hills First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Dewey Kerr; children, Jennifer Gasaway and husband Rankin of Dallas, Tiffany Fowler and husband Jeff of Lubbock, and Jim Kerr and wife Heather of San Antonio; and six grandchildren: Chloe 15, Hannah 15, Ben 13, Zoe 7, Jaden 7, and Baylor 5 months.
