

James "Jim" Rodrigue joined his Heavenly Father on April 1, 2012. Jim was born October 16, 1946 in Brady, TX. He was a graduate of Brady High School and went on to San Angelo State University, where he played 4 years of Ram Football and graduated in 1969 with a degree in Health and Physical Education.
After graduating, he stayed on to coach with Grant Teaff and staff. He later received his Master's Degree from Texas State University. He coached at Clear Lake H.S., MacArthur H.S., Madison H.S. and Belton H.S. for a 28 year coaching career which he loved.
After coaching, Jim's career shifted to school Administration. He was Assistant Principal at Belton Intermediate School. Then he moved to Comal ISD, where he was an Assistant Principal at Smithson Valley High School, and Assistant to the Superintendent before being named Athletic Director in 2006.
Jim was a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association and also served a term as Director. He was named San Antonio Coach of the Year while at Madison High School. Jim served on the Blanco City Council and also as Mayor of Blanco.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Pat; son, Rod Rodrigue; daughters, Ann and her husband Alex Broyles; Chrisie and her husband Jay McGinnis; Michelle and her husband Vance Rankin; and 14 grandchildren: Cole, Bryce, Chase, Brenlea, Ashley, Shane, Shaylee, Raylee, Randi Jo, Kyle, Jordan, Logan, Emily, and Ella. He is also survived by his mother, Lillian Rodrigue; sister, Latricia and her husband Bobby Doyal; brother, Rick Rodrigue; and nephews John and Heather Rodrigue & Carl and Stacey Rodrigue; Great nephews Levi and Gavin.
Jim deeply loved his Church, Blanco United Methodist, and served as Chairman of the Administrative Council.
Jim was a friend to everyone and a stranger to no one. He is deeply loved by his wife and family and will be greatly missed by so many.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00a.m., Friday, April 6, 2012 at Community Bible Church in San Antonio.
