Jamie Anne Montano was born on June 3, 1984, in Pueblo, Colorado. She was only 4 years old when her “Daddy” moved to heaven. Weeks later our family moved to Las Vegas, New Mexico and then onto San Antonio Texas. Jamie attended elementary Junior High and then she graduated from John Jay High School while living in our home. She earned an associate’s degree in business administration from Hallmark University. She graduated in the top 10 of her graduating class.
She was known for her passion and compassion in caring for the homeless in San Antonio. She provided them with sack lunches, bottled water, candy, hygiene products as well as other gifts she collected. For Christmas she purchased warm hats, scarves, gloves, candy and cookies and distributed them among the needy. She always put other needs before her own. Just ask her friends. Jamie had a very creative mind, talent for making crafts. She handmade numerous catholic rosary beads which she mostly gifted away. Jamie was very sociable and had a zeal and love of life, especially when it came to her family and friends. She will forever be remembered for her cheerful smile, laughter and resilient demeanor and love of life. She will be missed by all the lives she blessed.
Jamie was welcomed to paradise by her father, Santiago ”Jim” Montano Soto, her little sister, Sarah Montano, brother Vincey Waterman and beloved friend, Jase Guerrero, as well as many other friends an family members who made a lasting impact on her heart.
She is survived by her loving mother Anita Waterman, her beloved stepfather, Clayton Waterman, her fiancé of 6 years, Henry Robinson, brothers, Jason Perez, Randy (Annette) Montano, Santiago “Jimmy” Montano, Clayton Waterman “Junior”, godmothers Gloria Del Valle and Celia Rincon.
Special thanks to the University Hospital Medical Intensive Care Unit #2 staff, especially Trisha RN, and to Gentiva hospice. Last but not least, THANKS to all of you who lovingly supported our grieving family. May God, who sees it all, richly bless you for your lie and Goodness.
