Jason Sprague, age 49 , passed from this life on Sunday, December 03, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Jason had the ability to leave an impression on each person he crossed path with. Jason had a passion for cars, especially Lamborghini’s. He had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh, smile, and a gift of being able to lift up anyones spirits. Everyone truly loved Jason and he brought a smile to anyone he was around. Jason lived life to the fullest in his 49 years.
God called Jason home after a hard fought battle against Glioblastoma (malignant brain cancer). Jason’s friend Dr. Christopher Bogaev- Neuro Surgeon lead Jason’s fight and together they made a great team.
Jason had the gift of being quick witted, a Rolodex of random knowledge that would always come in handy and the ability to fix anything (with the help of YouTube).
Jason was born in Oklahoma City to parents, William O. and Karen Sprague, Jr. on December 19, 1973. When Jason was three his family moved to Tomball, Texas where he grew up and graduated high school. Jason has friends who are truly family that meant the world to him. Robert Johnston, Paul Roebuck, Trent McGill and Kevin Bayer have a brother-hood that Jason cherished and gave him peace to know that they would be watching over Valerie, Madeline and Corbin until they all are reunited again.
Jason was a proud graduate of Southwest Texas State University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in 1999. Upon graduation, Jason worked for AT&T for 17 years and most recently he worked for Radio Frequency Systems (RFS). While working at AT&T Jason received his Master of Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University and was awarded 3 U.S. patents.
Jason met the love of his life and soulmate, Valerie Rodman in Houston, Texas and they were married on May 12, 2001 in San Antonio, Texas. Together they had 2 amazing children Madeline and Corbin. Jason was a loving husband, the best father, son, brother and great friend. He loved spending time with his family, especially Valerie, Madeline and Corbin who loved and adore him.
Jason was the best Dad and was always there to support, cheer and love on his kids. Whether it was learning how to do the perfect bun for Madeline for Acro practice or encouraging Corbin in any of his extra curricular activities from baseball, football, wrestling, robotics, or UIL academics. They could always count on their Dad to be in the stands cheering them on.
The road trips the family took each summer for Madeline’s nationals competition are some of the best memories the family will cherish.
Jason is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Sprague; his princess, Madeline Sprague; amazing son, Corbin Sprague; parents, William O. Sprague Jr. and Karen Sprague; brothers, Billy Sprague and Eric Sprague and his wife Jennifer; sister-in-law, Danielle Pils; and mother-in-law, Gloria Jean Rodman.
