Born and raised in Chicago, she moved to Oklahoma where she worked for the war effort in manufacturing. It was there that she met her husband of 41 years, Philip. Together they lived and raised their children in Virginia. When her husband was completing a project in Houston, they discovered a love for Texas and moved there.
After his death, Jean moved to San Antonio and enjoyed her life at Blue Skies of Texas. She loved to sew and knit and was a lifelong Lutheran.
She is survived by her sons, Jon, Kris and his wife Sandra, and granddaughter, Jacquelyn.
