November 15, 1969 - September 22, 2021
Jeffrey Hamilton, age 51, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 22, 2021. He is survived by his adoring wife of 24 years, Fawn Hamilton; their sons, Holden Hamilton, Luke Hamilton and Brock Hamilton; plus nephews and nieces that he loved, as if they were his own children.
He is also survived by his Father, James Hamilton & Sharron; his Mother, Jean Hamilton Farlow his brother, Jim Hamilton and sister-in-law, Tammy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman Haas and Jean Haas, brother-in-law, Herman Haas, Jr., sister-in-law, Kim Senney and brother-in-law, Keith Sandefur, along with friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
How do you describe a man like Jeff in a few paragraphs? There aren't enough words in the English language to express, to the fullest extent, who Jeff was and will always be, to so many people. He was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of person. Those who have had the privilege of spending any amount of time with him, know there will never be another man like him.
Jeff had a way of making everyone feel like they were his best friend. He loved people so completely and we know he continues to love us from Heaven now.
He touched the hearts of a great number of people. He couldn't have possibly known to what extent, until he reached the gates of heaven. We all wish we could have had more time with him, but how incredibly blessed we are, to have known him and had our hearts molded by such an amazing man.
He went out of his way daily, to show his wife and children how special they are and how much he loved them. Everyone who knew Jeff, knew how far and wide his love for his wife and children reached. He instructed his 3 boys, (and those who he loved like his own children) to be the best men & women they could be and to walk with Jesus each day. He taught them that, after faith in Christ, family and love are the most important things. He taught them to be a great friend, to have integrity, kindness, generosity, humility, love, strength and honor. Jeff taught and lived out those traits for us to see each day.
He had an amazing smile that lit up every room he entered and he had the most infectious laugh. You couldn't help but feel joy when spending time with him. He loved the game of Baseball. The years he spent on the baseball field, playing the game, and as an adult, coaching and mentoring young men, were some of the best years of his life.
Jeff thoroughly enjoyed working hard and building a successful career in the mortgage industry. He loved his colleagues and clients like family. He devoted his entire adult life to building something he and his sons, should they want to join him in the business one day, could be proud of and continue the legacy of serving others with heart. His oldest son, Holden, joined the company shortly after high school graduation and while attending A&M University. Holden and Jeff had the privilege of working side by side, at the dining room table, during the 2019 quarantine. They both cherished their time together and Jeff was able to pour into his son, the years of knowledge gained in the industry. Jeff's legacy will continue through Holden and the incredible team at Gold Financial Services -Hamilton Branch, as well as their clients, Realtors and industry partners, that trusted Jeff with their business.
Jeff was hardworking, a competitor, had grit and determination, left nothing on the table and gave each day all he had. Jeff demanded excellence in himself, his children, and in the people he surrounded himself with. He was a mentor and role model to many, a loyal and trustworthy friend, had a heart of gold, and was the most generous, kind, and good-hearted person we have ever met.
This may not look like a typical obituary and that’s ok because Jeff wasn't a typical man. He was a once-in-a-lifetime man.
Jeff, thank you for everything you did for us and for everything you taught us. Thank you for the way you loved us! You will be greatly missed, but because we have hope in what Jesus did for us on the cross, we know that we will be reunited with you in heaven, for all eternity, when the good Lord calls us all home. Until then, we will keep you in our hearts and strive to be more like the Jeff we all know and love. You will never be forgotten. You are forever loved. Forever etched in our hearts.
God Bless You!
