Jennifer Ray Rosanbalm

Jenny grew up as an Army brat and had the pleasure of living in many places – Pennsylvania, Virginia, Germany, Kansas and Texas to name a few, but her heart was in Texas. She was brilliant. She excelled as a flute player in high school, and went on to the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with honors, and was accepted into the UT School of Law with an incredible LSAT score.

She went for 1 year and decided practicing law was not what she wanted to do, returning to San Antonio where she began working at USAA. She worked there for 23 years. During this time, she married David Lewis and they had 2 wonderful children, Stephanie and Glen. Later on, she and David divorced and she found and married her soulmate, Cliff, in 1999.

After leaving USAA she went back to school to obtain a certificate in teaching, and started her second career as a teacher. She taught in the Dilley ISD until this past November when her health led to her early retirement. She found her calling in teaching. She was affectionately known as "Mrs. Rosie" to the students and staff at Dilley High School. She was very proud of the kids she taught and all that they were able to accomplish, especially when she was able to have them do more than they thought they were capable of. She was an excellent cook, bringing food to work and to family gatherings that people raved about and devoured. She told her husband on their first date that she did not lie, cheat or steal, and lived this credo her whole life.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing her husband, Clifford Rosanbalm; her daughter, Stephanie Bouvier, MD (Brian); and her son, Glen Lewis. She will be an Angel in Heaven for her grand girls, Corinne and Caroline Bouvier. Other family members include her father, John L Ray and her sister, Melissa R Isbell, MD (Patrick, MD) and their children, Nicholas, Cassie, Ashlen and Kayla. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rebecca Holloway and Mary Overton. Their children, Rachel Holloway and John Overton, also mourn her loss.
