Jessica was born on February 26, 1977 to Santos David and Susie Maria Solis in Weslaco, Texas. After graduating from Mercedes High School in 1995, Jessica entered the United States Army. She was Honorably Discharged at the end of her second year. During her time in the Army, Jessica re-ceived the Marksman Badge and National Defense Medal of Honor.
Jessica then received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas University Pan America in 2004 with a major in Rehabilitation Services.
Jessica was then called to the vocation of education and became certified as a Special Education Teacher where she positively impacted the lives of our most special children.
Jessica was a passionate and compassionate teacher who was dedicated in doing what was needed and what was right for children. Jessica touched the lives on several campuses; Regency Elem., Northeast ISD, then Wright Elem. and finally Terrell Wells Middle, both in Harlandale ISD.
Jessica leaves behind her loving husband whom she married on November 7, 2007, Richard Mar-roquin and their two beautiful daughters, Faith Michelle, age 21, and Ansley Lynn, age 13. She is survived by her parents, her sister Eunice, Uncle Charlie and numerous other family members and devoted friends.
Jessica lived life loudly. She was her husband’s and daughters’ number one cheerleader.
She loved God and loved singing His praises through songs of worship with her girls. Jessica leaves a void in our lives. She will live on through our memories and through her organs which she gen-erously donated. Jessica is made new in heaven.
