Joe Richard Diaz

Joe Richard Diaz was united with the Lord, on December 18, 2021. He was born on June 8, 1929, in San Antonio, Texas, to Father-Gregorio Diaz and mother Juanita Vargas. He is survived by his wife, Grace Garcia Diaz, his brother Dan Benavides, cousins Martin Ramirez & Joey Ramirez. Additional family members are Rose Hill, Diane Fernandez, Robert Requenez, & Frank Landon. He was a loving and caring husband. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He served in the U.S. Army. His favorite hobbies were carpentry.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 3, 2022 from 5pm to 9pm at Trevino's Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, TX 78237. Rosary will begin at 7pm with a Reception to follow. Procession will leave Trevino on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 9:15am to the Church. Final respects will be from 8am to 9:15am. Mass will be at 10am at Christ The King Catholic Church, 2610 Perez St. San Antonio, TX 78207. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237. He will have full Military Honors, including taps and gun salute.
