Joe was a graduate of Highlands High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He began his career at Kelly A.F.B. as a machinist and later served as a mechanical engineer. After retiring from Kelly A.F.B. he continued working at Chromalloy and later Boeing.
Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn.
He is survived by his children Steve Hoffman (Trisha) and Jennifer Hoffman, grandchildren Cayden and Carolyn Hoffman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m.
A committal service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX, 78266.
