From the time I became aware of who John Bloomfield was, which was about 1968, everything I heard or saw about John was extremely positive. John was respected by everyone who knew him because he was always a true Gentleman, he was intelligent, thoughtful, and compassionate. John set high standards not by dictate, but by example. He was always available to counsel or provide advice, but did not push his ways or make mandates unless it was necessary in order to make the project succeed. In my 43 years with Continental, I had a large number of bosses but John always comes to my mind first. He was a wonderful boss and mentor, but most importantly, a true friend. I feel very lucky and honored to have worked directly with John, and had his friendship for a number of years. John's presence and witnessing for our Lord and Savior will be truly missed..
