Lt. Col. John P. Carah, USAF Ret., age 91, passed away on September 21, 2006 in San Antonio, Texas. Col Carah was born in Houghton, MI, and raised in Birchwood, WI. He graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Business Administration.
After graduation he joined the military and served during World War II and the Korean War. Retiring after thirty years of service, he and his wife spent most of their time in New Mexico. He was a quiet man who loved sports, reading, current events, and the Green Bay Packers. He was preceded in death by his brother Raymond Carah.
He is survived by his wife Katharine Carah of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Katharine Schlosberg and husband Richard of San Antonio, TX; son, John G. Carah of Neenah WI; daughter, Susan Davie and husband Neil Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Dr. Richard T. Schlosberg IV, Deborah Rich, Angela Davie, Adam Davie and Melissa Davie; four great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth Carah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
