John Tarin Casanova age 88 of San Antonio died Thursday, October 3, 2002 after a brief illness. He was a descendent of 10 families that came from the Canary Islands from Spain on Spanish Land Grants. He was a wonderful husband and father. He was retired from Civil Service after 30 years as a GSII from Kelly A.F.B. He is preceded in death by his son Henry Casanova. Survivors include his wife, Margarita Tenorio Casanova; son John Edward Casanova; daughter Gloria Casanova Schmitz; six grandchildren Stephanie Patterson, Donna Kuebel, Deborah Erbert, John Schmitz, Dianne Marks, and John Henry Casanova and six great grandchildren Steven Patterson, Megan Patterson, Kendall Kuebel, Kane Kuebel, Collin Erbert and Hayley Erbert.
