His lifetime achievements were many and his successes well deserved.Chief John Downey served in the US Navy from Jan. 27, 1986, to Sept. 30, 2008 as a CTRCJack served on many US Navy ships and was Plank-Owner on three, the USS Port Royal (Decommissioned), the USS Howard, and the USS Kidd and was a Desert Storm Veteran.
He completed his BA in 2021 and in Dec. 2022 his MBA.Jack will be interred at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on April 7, 2023.He is survived by his wife, Melissa J Downey, and three children, Brittany Fleishman, Catherine Booth, and Robert “Bobby” Downey.Jack, my love, will be forever in my heart and dearest memories.
