John William Ford, lovingly known as “Billy,” entered eternal rest on September 27, 2019 at the age of 84. Born in Tampa, Florida on June 6, 1935 to John William Ford Sr. and Fannie Mae Brooker; he now reunites with his parents and loving wife of 59 years, Janice Ford.
Billy retired from Civil Service with Kelly Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic. Upon retirement he was employed with Six Flags Fiesta Texas and enjoyed his position as the train conductor for the theme park. In his younger years he enjoyed square dancing; but some of his favorite hobbies were working on cars, fishing and bowling. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, always being present for events and taking them to where they needed to be. He had a love for all pets, especially dogs, and did not have the heart to turn strays away. He will forever be remembered for his loving and caring personality.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his children: Carolyn (Andy) White, Jeanette (Johnny) Williamson, Molly (Ian) O’Regan; grandchildren: Jeremy (Brittany) White, Emily White, Natalie White, Joshua White, Zachary Williamson, Alex (Ben Wells) Williamson, Zoe Williamson, Evan O’Regan, Mackenna O’Regan; great-grandchildren, Lucy Williamson and Ella Wells.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 5pm-6:15pm with a celebration of Billy’s life at 6:15pm. Please visit the online guest book for condolences and shared memories.
