John Gilsdorf, age 66, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on May 13, 1959 in Garland, Texas to Marjorie White and Michael David Gilsdorf..He graduated from John Marshall High School and was a dedicated to his career with Southwest Airlines for 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Gilsdorf and his father, Michael David Gilsdorf.
John is survived by his loving wife, Karen Gilsdorf; daughters, Emily Gilsdorf and Megan Cruz; daughter in law, Brittney Gilsdorf; son in law, Jordan Cruz; his siblings, Julia Ramirez (Frank Ramirez), Michael Gilsdorf (Patrice Gilsdorf), Mark Gilsdorf, Mary Armstrong (Scott Armstrong), Kathy Seastrunk (Brian Seastrunk), Martha Heidari (Mansour Hedari); grandchildren, Jaxon and Jet Gilsdorf, Kamryn and Kenndy Phillips, Deacon and Gabriella Cruz; as well as several beloved friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Grace Point Church – Northeast, 2930 MacArthur View. Flowers may be sent directly to the church.
