He was born December 24, 1934 in Ball Ground, Georgia to the late Fuller Holt and Minnie Forrester Holt. He retired after serving 20 years in the U.S Air Force and will receive full military honors.
John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rufina M. Holt; sons, John Wesley Holt, Jr. Randall Allen Holt and Jim Eslora; daughters, Cynthia Ann Posner, Cheryl Holt, Elaine Peña, Cindy Vaquiax and Lucy A. Andrade; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers Jimmy Eslora, Eric Celestino, Jesse Eslora, Bernard Pena Jr., Amanda Pena and Amber N. Andrade.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
