John Vick Leatherwood went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 7, 2014 at the age of 62. John was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 19, 1952 he lived life to the fullest. John was an avid hunter and fisherman.
John was preceded in death by his daughter Erika Leatherwood fathers; John Steven Vick and Robert Leatherwood. John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Elizabeth “Betty” Leatherwood. John and Betty traveled to five continents experiencing many different cultures. John is also survived by his son Brandon Leatherwood mother Mary Leatherwood brother Bobby Leatherwood and sister; Judy Leatherwood.
Funeral Services will take place Thursday August 14, 2014 at 1:30pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Committal service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Erika Leatherwood Athletic Scholarship Fund at Mac Arthur Highschool.
