Born in Brooklyn, New York, John Merrill Morse, Jr. of San Antonio, was received by the Lord on March 30, 2006. A proud Korean War veteran, John moved to San Antonio in 1992 and opened a consulting and wholesale business after serving as city manager for Old Bridge, New Jersey, where he lived for 30 years. Out-going and inquisitive, John developed many friendships, pursued numerous interests and was involved in many organizations, including.
The Alamo Coin Club, Men's Prayer Group, and the Texas Republicans. He also faithfully attended Cornerstone Church. Most importantly, John was proud of his heritage and spent much of his time researching genealogy to create a deeply treasured Morse family book, spanning 12 generations. A member of a large family and community of friends, the sudden loss of John will be mourned by many.
