

He was the second son of Lucile and Charles Mills Reeves and was raised in San Antonio and attended public schools here.
He was a notable athlete at Thomas Jefferson High School and was a graduate of Texas A&M, where he was a member of the 1939 National Championship Football Team.
Mr. Reeves participated in multiple sports, winning honors on state and local levels including the State Diving Championship at Texas A&M.
Mr. Reeves served in the Pacific Theater during World War Two.
He enjoyed a long career in business and was also a member of the San Antonio Chapter of the Southwest Football Officials Association, the Southland Conference and the Lone Star Conference.
He was preceded in death by his sons, William Blair, infant son, Paul and by John Edward and by his brothers, Charles and Blair Reeves.
His survivors include his wife, Marian; and his son, Blair Reeves; and his sister, Harriet Holder; grandchildren, Bonnie Castilleja and husband, Miguel and their children, Samuel and Sabrina, Crystal Adelman and husband, Chris and daughter, Courtney; and grandson, Blair B.J. Reeves and many nieces and nephews.
