A funeral mass was held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and he was laid to rest in the Stapper Family Cemetery on April 7th.
He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Alice Wall, his sister, Susan Dianne Ermis, and his three sons, Jason Kyle, John Justin, and Jameson Thomas. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Warrant Officer-3 after serving 33 years in the armed forces. He was an avid supporter of youth activities.
He served as a CYO baseball coach for all three of his son's teams, was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, and a Counselor for the Columbian Squires, the youth organization of the Knights of Columbus. In the Knights of Columbus, he also served as an officer of Council 7613 of St. Mark the Evangelist.
He went back to college at 40 and graduated with honors with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
His proudest accomplishments were being a father and a veteran. He will be missed for his sense of humor and his love of his sons.
