Johnnie Lee Levy

Johnnie was born on December 17, 1936, in Dilley, Texas, to Joe and Minnie Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Minnie Smith; her beloved son, Jimmy Hicks; her great-granddaughter, Ava; her sisters, Polly, Claudia, Betty, and Josephine; and her brother, Joe.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Cindy Hughes (Edward) and Wendy Dunlop; her cherished grandchildren, Christopher (Rocio), Katie, Justin, Hunter, Taylor, and Lainey; and her five adored great-grandchildren, Lei, Adaly, Emiliano, Noah, and Samara; her sister, Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Johnnie loved her family deeply and wholeheartedly. To know her was to know how proud she was to be a mother, but above all, her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. Her conversations were filled with stories of her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally and supported endlessly. She was the steady heart of our family — a source of strength, warmth, and encouragement whose love shaped generations and will continue to live on through them.

A memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park on February 7, 2026. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
