Jose was born and raised in San Antonio and was deeply rooted in his community. From a young age, he was known for his strong will, outgoing personality, strong work ethic, and sense of humor. He was always cracking jokes and bringing laughter to those around him.
Jose was a devoted and loving father who shared a special and irreplaceable bond with his daughter. He formed meaningful connections with family and friends in his own unique way, creating deep and lasting relationships that will be cherished forever. Family-oriented at heart, he was a loving son, protective brother, and loyal friend who was always willing to help those he cared about.
After graduating from high school, Jose planned to enlist in the U.S. Marines, but chose instead to focus on being a present father to his daughter. He decided to start his own security business, taking great pride in protecting the public and serving his community. He was known for his hustle—constantly striving to grow his business and build a better future for himself and his family. Nothing stood in the way of his determination to succeed.
In his free time, Jose enjoyed riding his Harley, staying active at the gym, watching movies with his daughter and trying new foods. Above all, he loved being surrounded by people, sharing laughs, and making memories.
Jose is survived by his loving mother and father, grandparents, his siblings, and his extended family including aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jose Martinez, who passed on the same day, February 1, 1996.
Jose will be remembered as a loving father, son, grandson, brother, and friend—a compassionate, funny, and strong-willed man who protected his community, supported his loved ones, and never stopped working toward his goals.
