Jose “Joe” Salvador Garcia was called home to be with the Lord, on June 22, 2015 at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents Antonia and Salvador Garcia. Joe was survived by his sisters Maria Del Carmen Garcia, Antonia S. Lawrence (Phillip), brother Henry Garcia (Yolanda), numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Joe enjoyed watching sports like; baseball, basketball and football and also enjoyed dancing. He was a member of many church organizations like; St. Vincent De Paul, Holy Name, Knights of Columbus, Church Choir and he attended many of the prayer meetings. He considered everyone his friend; he had a kind heart and gentle soul. Joe will be greatly missed by all. A visitation will begin on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 5:00 pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1204 Castroville Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
