Prayer:

We pray and trust oh Lord, that you’ve welcomed Jose Manuel Martinez into your arms.

A brother-in-Christ; concerned husband, devoted father, a loving and patient grand-pa, a brother, and dear friend; but above all, a man fully enamored with your Son Christ Jesus and to the preaching of Your Word.

We thank you, our good Lord Jesus, that in your all encompassing knowledge, you saw it fit to bless us all by revealing some of your celestial characteristics in the person of this man, your son.

We praise you for all of life’s lessons and spiritual truths we’ve learned through his service, devotion, dedication, and even frailties. He never claimed to be a perfect man Lord, simply entrusted himself to the perfectness of Jesus Christ to redeem him; his zeal was to preach Christ Jesus crucified and Savior to all.

His days of labor are over - Holy Father, the task you gave him is done. His good work has been completed and he has now ascended to claim the glorious reward you’ve promised to all who’ve followed you and carried their cross.

Lord Jesus, our God, our only regret, aside from missing him dearly, is actually not having been there to behold his face shine with splendor as he saw Your face and heard Your Words “WELL DONE, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: ENTER INTO THE JOY OF THY LORD.”

We too, are comforted in the blessed hope of seeing him again, that day Lord blessed Father, when you will call us unto you as well. We also are anxious to see and behold your most glorious face dear Jesus and hear your words of welcoming directed toward us. The prospect of that moment excites us and we can’t wait for that day.

We worship you again for who YOU ARE and for what YOU’VE DONE and for having blessed us with his life. In your name Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
