

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Maria Narvaiz Jr., who entered eternal rest on July 7, 2025 at the age of 79. He was born on June 16, 1946 in San Antonio,TX to Jose Maria Narvaiz Sr. and Esther Gonzales.
Joe was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a devoted member of St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church. He found joy in life's simple pleasures such as golfing, cheering on his Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs and grilling BBQ for his family. He especially loved spending time with those closest to him on birthdays and holidays. He was also an active member of the Southside Lions Senior Center, where he enjoyed maintaining his health and staying connected with his community.
Mr. Joe Narvaiz was preceded in death by his brothers, Gregorio Narvaiz and Jenaro Narvaiz.
He is survived by his siblings, Norma Hernandez, Terri Zapata, Gilda Narvaiz and Oscar Narvaiz.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Valeria Hernandez, Crystal Wasiewicz, Vicky Robey, Vanessa Narvaiz, Monica Zapata, Janel Lopez, Roxane Cantu, Jeremy Narvaiz, Gregory Narvaiz, Melanie Zapata and Sarah Narvaiz, Ph.D., as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, all of whom carry his memory with love and pride.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Services will conclude in the chapel that evening.
