Jose Daniel Ruiz, Sr.

He was an honorable man and fought a courageous battle with cancer until his time of death.

Jose was born July 6, 1946 in San Antonio, TX. He loved the great outdoors, especially fishing.

His passion for life was to be with his family that he loved so dearly.

The Ruiz family greatly appreciates the actions, thoughts and prayers for Jose in his time of need. Jose made a friend of all he met and left all with lasting memories.

All who knew Jose could feel his love of life and many were touched by his sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Ruiz and Celia Flores Ruiz, Baby Daughter Celia Jo Ruiz; sister, Eloisa Ruiz; and his brother Jimmy Ruiz Sr.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 44 years, Florinda Perez Ruiz Flo, daughters: Debra Ann Costilla and Jesse, Norma Jean Quinn, son: Jose Daniel Ruiz Jr. and Karin, 8 beautiful grandchildren, whom he loved with all his heart, Erica Marie Costilla, Jesse Costilla Jr., Michael Ryan Quinn, Timothy Jay Quinn II, Jose Daniel Ruiz III, Jax Diego Ruiz, Karina Lin Ruiz, and Karissa Linelle Ruiz; sister: Norma and David Salinas; brothers: Edward and Emily Ruiz, George and Vidalina Ruiz, Eugene Ruiz, Roland and Sylvia Ruiz and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 16th from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
