

He proudly served his country in the US Army and retired as a LTC.
He was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, assisted with meals on wheels, was a member of the Optimist Club of San Antonio, 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and Military Order of the World Wars, and he was also a Texas Medical Rangers. He had just recently joined the Kazamba Dance Company of San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alma Mansfield.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Betty L. Mansfield of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Maria Pollock and her husband, Rodger, of Lake Elsinore, CA; sons, Joseph P. Mansfield III of Steamboat Springs, CO, Patrick Mansfield and his wife, Carrie of Wilmington, DE, and Brian Mansfield and his wife, Amber of Warwick, RI; grandchildren, Jamison and Jacob Pollock of Lake Elsinore, CA; brother, John Mansfield and his wife, Barbara of Ellicott City, MD.
