Joshua was an easy-going and loving individual known for being the
“cool” guy with a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Deep down he
was a kid at heart and would find joy in the little things like
mastering the Rubik’s Cube, playing electronic Battleship, and
watching animated films. Some of Josh’s other interests and hobbies
included bald eagles, tattoos, Harley Davidson, dream catchers,
billiards, darts, muscle cars, heavy metal, hard rock, and having drinks outside with
family and friends.
Josh grew up listening to bands like Metallica, Journey, AC/DC, and
Judas Priest, and enjoyed playing drums in the backyard with his
friends as a teenager. He had great pride and joy when it came to his
vehicles. His first car was a black 1981 Z28 Camaro which he nicknamed
“Gloria.” Most recently he owned a Dodge Charger (also named Gloria)
and a Chevy Camaro in which he poured such great care and detail into
both cars. Joshua worked hard and afforded himself small luxuries that
brought him happiness.
Joshua had such a deep love for his family and showed it often. He
loved spending time with his family and made sure we knew
how much he appreciated it. He would often check in on his parents and
siblings, just to make sure they were doing well. Joshua loved playing
with his nieces and nephews when they were little. As they grew older,
he would offer an ear, advice, and support. He was protective, and
genuinely kind. He would often generously show his appreciation to
those that helped him. His faith in God and belief in the power of
prayer guided him through many hard times, with his family by his
side.
Joshua never had children of his own, but opened his heart and became
a father figure to Jesse, PJ, and Miranda. Joann and Josh showed them
love while raising them together. He was a great role model and wanted
the best for them.
Joshua was such a genuine, kind person with a loving heart. His love
and appreciation for the simple things made him even more special. He
will be deeply missed and remembered every single day. Until we meet
again, Josh.
