

She attended high school in Corsicana where after graduation she married her longtime childhood sweetheart, Col. (Ret) Carl M. Hagle. Joyce and Carl were married for over 67 years. Joyce was a dedicated Air Force Officer's wife, mother of 4 children, avid golfer, loved to entertain, play bridge and held her pilot's license.
Joyce was an avid and huge San Antonio Spurs fan and did not miss a game no matter how late it was on and usually was on the phone with friends telling them how they were doing. Her friends describe her as joyful, spirited, fierce, highly independent and faithful. She was a member of Coker United Methodist Church for over 50 years and was involved with Coker's Sharing and Caring Group. Joyce was involved with the golf unit with her husband in the Alzafar Shrine in San Antonio and "8" some Golf Group for over 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Roy Leeds; brother, James Parker; her son, Lt. Col. (Ret) Donald H. Hagle; and her soulmate, Carl.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Roy David Hagle, Michael K. Hagle and wife Mary Clarke Hagle; daughter, Holly D Hagle; daughter-in-law, Lynette Hagle; grandchildren, Kerri and her husband Dane Bear, Kasey and her husband T.J. Williams and Senior Airman Geoffrey Hagle; their mother, Merri Hagle; and the delight of her life her great grandchildren, Averi and Gavin Bear and Tristan Williams. She is also survived by her devoted and protective companion, Susie, who was always by her side.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
