She was born in Chattanooga, TN on February 20, 1951 and has lived in San Antonio for 45 years. She was the oldest of nine siblings; she had 6 brothers and 2 sisters that she played with, had arguments with as any big sister would do and loved her whole family.
She enjoyed drawing, crocheting, watching movies, swimming, playing with animals and doing things with her family. Elvis Presley was her idol; she loved all his movies, his songs and surrounding herself with everything Elvis.
As a military ‘brat’ she got to travel all over the world. In her life she traveled throughout Europe, Japan and several states in America.
Because she caught whooping cough as a baby, Yvonne had a child’s look at life. She was gentle and sweet and loved everyone that she met. She loved her teddy bears, her dolls and her crayons. She was a child of God whose smile could light up a room. She loved her mom and dad that took care of her till they no longer could.
Yvonne was a loving sister, aunt, sister-in-law and great-aunt. Besides her brothers and sisters, she had 13 nieces and 9 nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
She passed away on July 10, 2019 with her family by her side; she will be missed and forever loved.
We will see you again soon, Sissy, rest in peace.
