Juanita Marie Perkovich

Our beloved mom and grandma Nanny, Juanita Perkovich, age 81, entered the loving arms of our savior Jesus, on October 18, 2022. Our precious angel gained her wings surrounded by her family at her home in San Antonio, Texas. Born on September 28, 1941, she resided in Raton, New Mexico most of her life. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Perkovich; loving parents, Isaac and Irene Martinez; infant son, Anthony Trujillo; grandson, Ryan Trujillo; brothers, Eli Martinez, Lino Martinez, Robert Martinez, Camillo Martinez; and sister, Dora Martinez. She is survived by her sons, David Trujillo and Albert Ortega (Eunice); daughters, Deby Paiz (John) and Kendra Encinias (Fred); grandsons, Joey, John Travis, and Zebadiah; granddaughters, Irene, Ashley, Andrea, Amanda, Audrey, Angel, and Katasya; 16 great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

She was a very loving, strong, selfless, and kindhearted woman. She was a loving momma bear who guarded her children fiercely, an awesome Nanny who spoiled her grandchildren and taught them how to cheat at Rummy, a caregiver to her elderly mother, a volunteer at the senior center that always checked in on her family and friends to make sure they were okay. She always made time to pray for and generously helped anyone in need. She loved and had faith in Papa Jesus and surrounded herself with those most in need of defense and often put their needs above her own. It was the little things that meant the most to her: spending time with family and friends, organizing get togethers, and taking memorable photos.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
