

Judy Pulver Mills, born August 23, 1937, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 19, 2002. Judy was born in Seattle, Washington, and raised in Harlingen, Texas. She attended The University of Texas at Austin for three years where she was a Plan II major and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, then transferred to The University of Florida where she earned her degree. Judy wed Byron Mills on August 23, 1958 in Harlingen, Texas, where Byron was involved in aviation training with the U.S. Air Force. After completing his Air Force duty, Judy followed Byron to Houston, Galveston, San Antonio and Dallas, supporting him as he pursued a successful career as a bank executive. Judy was also a dedicated supporter of Byron's career in the Air Force Reserve, where he ultimately achieved the rank of Major General. Though Judy was burdened with illness during the latter part of her life, her indomitable spirit and love of life enabled her to be an active participant in numerous community organizations including Friends of Hospice, the Junior League, San Antonio Symphony, and Air Force Village II activities. Judy is survived by her loving husband Byron, devoted children, Melanie and Scott, and Scott's wife Jennifer, all of Dallas, brother, Robert Pulver of San Marcos, and sister, Molly Lamphear of Austin.
