Karen was the heart of our home and family. She raised two children, Ginger (45), Daniel (44), in a happy and loving home to be independent and thoughtful adults. Karen was married for 34 years to her loving husband, Harold (Chip), who preceded her in death. As a grandmother to Jack (20), Reagan (18), Alessandra (17) and Pierce (12), she was the "easy going granny”, enjoyed pulling babysitting duties, and generally spoiling them rotten. Karen had three lovely sisters Jeanie, Sherrill & Denise as well as one Sister-in-law Debra & a brother-in-law Derek.
Karen was known for her stories & knowledge of sports, and she will be dearly missed. At Karen's request, there will be a small service at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX on December 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., where she will join Harold Dutcher. Before she passed, she made it known she wanted us all to share a laugh and raise a glass in celebration of her journey home.
