Kari Mayne

Kari Mayne passed away on May 31, 2017 due to complications from ALS. She was born on April 23, 1963 to Edna Luella Crowell and Bill Crowell in Oklahoma City, OK. She was their only daughter. As a young girl, Kari played the cello, the piano, raised horses, played softball, loved dogs, was a cheerleader and an excellent student.

She married Robert Mayne on Nov. 6, 1993 and they lived in Dallas, TX and Oklahoma before moving to San Antonio in 2011. On March 21, 1998, Kari gave birth to their only living son, Spencer Austin Mayne, commonly known as "Sammy." Sammy is her pride and joy.

Kari fought a very courageous fight with ALS, for over 4 years. Fighting for life to the very end.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna "Lue" McClanahan Hopkins and grandparents, Freeny and Fern Hopkins and Joel Bruce Crowell.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Mayne; Son, Spencer "Sammy" Mayne; brother, Steven Crowell; father, Bill Crowell and many aunts and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Church Chapel, 18755 Stone Oak Parkway, San Antonio, TX. 78258 at 9:30am, Thursday June 8, 2017.
