

Kenny W. Richardson, Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the age of 79. Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 16-1/2 years, Patricia (Trish) Richardson; his children Sheila Saylor and husband Frank, Cindy Richardson, Mark Richardson, Rachel Richardson and Michael Richardson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Pat Liddick, Jean Sanford, Vicki Roy and husband Dave, Vanessa Adams, and brother Fred Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kenny was preceded in death by his dad Kenneth Richardson; mom Marguerite Knowland; brothers Ted Richardson and Michael Richardson; and sisters JoAnn Isgrigg and Ellen Thompson.
Kenny was loved by so many! He was called the “Candy Man” because he loved to pass out candy and lollipops to family, friends and strangers - adults and children alike. He loved to play card games with his wife and friends – he won often! He also loved to play golf and collect golf memorabilia. Kenny was also known for telling jokes to anyone and everyone he met or knew.
Kenny was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on July 3, 1941. Kenny joined the United States Army and served for 11 years as a Senior Medic, including a 1-year tour in Vietnam. He loved his country and was so proud to serve. Upon discharge from the Army, he made a career as a respiratory therapist, mainly for the VA hospital in Kerrville Texas and later for the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio Texas from which he retired.
Kenny was a member of Cornerstone Church where he had served as an usher in the past and participated in the Christmas pageants. Kenny was a Patriot Guard Rider with the San Antonio chapter. He had also served his community as a Citizen on Patrol (COPS) neighborhood watchman.
