'I learned of Kents death 2  months after he passed. He worked for me in the Production Branch of the TV Division at the Academy of Health Sciences, Fort Sam Houston, Texas for nearly 19 years. After I retired over 30 years ago a Colonel at Ft. Sam called me and asked who I would recommend for the Chief of the TV Division. I told him, "There is only one man, Kent O. Moore". 

Kent was promoted into the position which he held until his retirement from Federal Civil Service. I met that Colonel at Kents retirement luncheon.

'From a Bonanza Beach friend: It was so good of Harvey Oakley to share Kent's obituary. It really got me to thinking of all the associations you have had with Bonanza Beach. First of all, I didn't connect the Moore Family and the Oakley Family, but with the 25 years of living in B B, your history here goes back further than
 mine and my husband, Steve. I had been treasurer for several years and vice-president for a couple years, so I have "sort of" been involved with keeping record of the subdivision. Now I realize how Mary Oakley was connected with so many of you. Barbara, you and Kent owned so many beautiful lots and have made so many people beautiful places to build - and your brother-in-law Charles too. And now I am putting together that Julie is your daughter and that she and Tommy own a lot which almost joins ours - we are on the top of the hill. Through connections made through the years, I want you to know I've appreciated our contacts, and for you to know I would be available for any thing you will be requiring regarding B B. Our sympathy to you on the loss of Kent and we trust you will continue to use your lovely home here as your life permits. Our best to you and the family.
