Kermit “Les” Cox, age 84, passed away August 10, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on May 29, 1933 in Lumberton, N.C. to Kermit and Luvena Cox. He is survived by his wife Nancy Cox; daughters, Ann Marie O’Campo, husband Robert and Mary Beth Pyatte, husband Gene; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emily Hobson, Eleanor Pope, Barbara Small and Gloria Long; brother, Kenneth Edward Cox; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Thursday, August 17, 2017 beginning at 11:00 A.M. with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 P.M. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Air Force military honors for over 30 years of service. Les was a mighty servant of God, loving husband, faithful father and grandfather. He dearly loved his family and friends, neighbors and coworkers and he served faithfully in his church for many years. His laughter and kind spirit could brighten the room. He will live on in the hearts of the many lives he touched.
