

Kevin “Rooster” Rohrssen, age 50, passed away on March 23, 2017 in Cibolo, TX. He was born in Charleston, SC to Russell and Georgena Rohrssen on September 4, 1966. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Martin Frye.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Eva M. Rohrssen; son, Kevin Rohrssen, Jr.; mother-in-law, Rose Frye; sisters, Sherri Carter (Don) and Dawn Haskins (Keith); brother-in-law, George Frye (Debbie); sister-in-law, Caroll Frye; nieces and nephews Amber Carter, Trey Carter (Kalyn), Greg Frye, Logan Haskins and Dakota Haskins.
Kevin proudly served in the US Air Force for 20 years. He started his career as a crew chief on an F-16 and finished as a recruiter. He has worked in Information Technology since his military retirement.
Motorcycles were a lifelong passion for Kevin, and he served in multiple capacities with the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. Through SCRC, Kevin was passionate about raising money for St. Jude Hospital, the Visitation House and other organizations. Kevin loved to see the children’s smiles when he played Santa Claus.
The Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Jaime Sanchez officiating. The Graveside Service will take place at a later date at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Air Force Honors.
