L. Joyce Nana Bean died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the age of 85. Born in Savannah, GA, she was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Georgia Salzburger Society. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ralph A. Bean, Jr.
Joyce was a strong woman who took great pride in her family. Her survivors include daughter Judy Bean-Cover, grandchildren, Robert Cover and wife Elizabeth, Alan Cover and wife Lisa, Julie Teplitz and husband Craig, as well as her seven great grandchildren-Caitlin, Bryan, Shannon, Austin, Dylan, Jakob and Joshua.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff members of Air Force Village II-Freedom House for their consistent loving care during Mrs. Bean's final years.
A private graveside service in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will be officated by Pastor Gary Higgs.
