LaDonna was my neighbor but I got to know her even better once I moved out of my apartment and continued to see her.  She was a friend and a beacon of light in my difficult world.  She frequently spoke of her relationship with God and handled her medical issues with such grace that I will never forget her.  She was a sweet and kind soul who will always remain in my memories as someone to look up to... a strong woman who loved the Lord above all else and never complained.  I will miss her terribly and pray for her friends and family during this time.  She's looking down from above smiling at you at this moment!  

May the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior bring peace and comfort to all of those LaDonna leaves behind.  She is rejoicing before our Savior having no more pain or suffering.  She was a pleasure to know; and I will treasure the memory of her smile and her love and respect for her family.

LaDonna- You had an amazing and contagious smile that could only be surpassed by your  kind and genuine 💜 heart!  Oh, how you will be missed at our ladies luncheons that turned into zoom meetings.  I look forward to the day when we ladies will all reunite in heaven with wholeness, health, laughter and joy!! What a day that will be!!  I love you and miss you, sis!! LaDonna was a wonderful person and coworker to know. She worked hard for her students, and was a leader for our team at TAMU-SA. She will be missed so much, especially during our weekly team meetings, where we were fortunate to have her insights, and her humor. She made us all laugh every time. I wish for peace and comfort for her family, friends, and church. We were all lucky to know LaDonna.

Oh LaDonna was my son’s favorite babysitter. I needed someone to watch my son on Wednesday nights and LaDonna was the first person to offer. She watched him Wednesdays for a year. I had to sneak money in her purse to pay her. My son and “Auntie Donna” ate dinner together, played, bathed, and several times she fell asleep with him tucking him into bed. They had the sweetest friendship! She called him her “boyfriend” and the “only man for her.”. 

I’ll never forget Jesus telling her to tell me to  drive her and her aunt to women’s retreat. Back and forth back and forth for 3 days. It was the BEST time together. 

 I loved my friend so much and my heart is crushed at loosing such a beautiful person. Selfishly, I’d want to keep her here forever but I know Jesus must’ve been eager to have her home. 

As everyone who knew her will attest, LaDonna was wonderfully warm and funny (the funniest!).  As a colleague, I was in awe of the deep reflection she engaged in about her work – uncovering knowledge about herself and her students, identifying new practices and changes to make, and considering the larger goals of higher education.  She strove to create a more respectful, more equitable environment for all on our campus.  LaDonna will be tremendously missed by every one of her co-workers at Texas A&M-San Antonio.  

I still cannot believe my friend is gone. 
I figure Jesus couldn't wait to bring her home. Her smile lit up any room no matter what she was going through and I am sure she is so incredibly happy right now that she is positively glowing. Praise God she can breathe easily again. Praise God for his mercy. 
I will remember all the times we shared with Yoli, Bera, Patsy, and Jacqueline and how my face always hurt after them because we would all laugh so very much. It was so easy for LaDonna to make people smile. 
One especially kind thing LaDonna did for me was to recognize my reluctance and hesitancy to wear makeup. She was concerned about me protecting my skin so she came over one afternoon and gave me a makeover and taught me the basics. To this day, I still use the products she recommended! I smile just remembering her kindness towards me. She is a gem. A special treasure of the King and time spent with her felt like a gift from heaven : )

LaDonna’s strong faith in Jesus, even as she suffered through trials, was an inspiration.  Her sweet spirit shone through it all.  Just as the Lord comforted LaDonna on her journey, we’re trusting  that God’s peace will keep you through this difficult time.

LaDonna brought humor and laughter to every gathering...no one could match her quick wit.   I will miss her and that special light that only she   shone in this world. 

I imagine her rejoicing in her freedom from pain and suffering, as well as, cracking Jesus up with her hilarious take on some incident recorded in Scripture.  

The gift of joyous laughter is no small thing.  Thank you, LaDonna.   Rest well my friend. 

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss and our loss at Texas A&M University - San Antonio.  LaDonna was such a joy and inspiration to work with.  In the short time I had the pleasure to get to know LaDonna, I always enjoyed her wit, humor, and smile.  No matter how rough of a day I was having, LaDonna always had a way to make me smile and laugh.  

I greatly miss my co-worker and friend.  It brings me comfort to know that LaDonna is smiling down on us and I hope these memories help in letting you know how much LaDonna is loved and missed.  I pray that God brings you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I loved getting to know LaDonna in San Antonio.  We went to church together and she was a beautiful soul, both inside and out.  LaDonna would often eat with me after church and always made me laugh, even at the worst of situations.  LaDonna’s journey with  Christ taught her how very much loved she was.  Jesus was her lighthouse in the storm, even if the waves were whippin’ by.  I’m gonna miss how she connected with me on a spiritual level and how she encouraged me to stay the course.  She is at peace because she is with her Savior.  At home.  See you soon, my friend!

LaDonna, sweet friend, your humor could not be beat! Thank you God for bringing her into my life. I have no doubt she touched many others, in her work and friendships. She lives in eternity with Jesus, no pain and suffering. It doesn't get any better than that!

My sweet sister, you will be dearly missed. You were dearly loved and treasured. I am so blessed and grateful that God saw fit to cross your path with mine. I remember sweet prayer times together and moments of laughter. Your warmth and caring was always felt. You called me sister because we are family, united in Christ's blood. I remember the painting night at Jen's house. I loved watching you paint "Abba" on your board. You knew who your Father was and grew more confident in His love everyday. I know you are cradled in His arms now, basking in His love; fully free, fully whole. I look forward to that day we will all be together again, one family, united in His love.  Until then, I fervently pray for those you left behind, mourning your loss. May they too come to know God's boundless love and freedom you lived while here on this earth. May they be comforted by Him knowing you are home where there is no more death, no more sickness, and no more sorrow. I love you dear sister.
