

With deep sadness, the family of Lambert “Mike” Hascue Fryar, Jr., age 85, announces that he went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2021. Lambert was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 9, 1936, to Lambert and Emma De Pauw Fryar. He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 59 years, Joan Duecker Fryar, and was also preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Lilly Ruiz, Betty Jo Kimbrell, and Eddie Fryar. He is survived by his children, Kelley (Denice) Fryar, and Kimberly (Daniel) Piechowiak; 3 grandchildren, Ashley (Peyton) Fryar, Ridge (Taylor) Fryar, and Jacob Piechowiak; 6 great-grandchildren, Kayden, Layton, Liam, Luke, Lawson, and Levi Fryar; siblings Lola Bradshaw, Mary Alice Crittell, Milton W. Fryar, and Joanne Beckley; along with numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends.
Lambert was a man of many talents who served in the United States Army before his meticulous nature led him to a successful career as an electrical contractor in San Antonio for over 40 years. His unparalleled work ethic was evident in both his professional and personal life. Lambert enjoyed all aspects of cars, from racing in his youth to mechanics and restoration well into his eighth decade of life. He was a devoted husband and father who loved taking his family on extensive road trips all over the country, along with working on various home projects. He is known for his keen sense of humor and took great delight in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is greatly missed and will be in our hearts forever.
Visitation for Lambert will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238 on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with an interment service to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:30 AM.
