

Rusty was born in Fort Worth, Texas and lived all over the world with his Air Force family. He graduated from Biloxi High School in Biloxi, MS, attended Perkinston Junior College and The University of Southern Mississippi before joining the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966. He received The Purple Heart after proudly serving in Viet Nam. He returned to Biloxi and then moved with his family to Austin, Texas where he met his future wife, Brenda Young. Rusty graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He was a Realtor and Real Estate Broker for 37 years and was a member of the Keller Williams Realty family in San Antonio.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Brenda; his son, Levi and daughter-in-law, Heather and his three grandsons, Derrek, Connor and Tristan Oldham. His sister, Debbie Oldham Kruger and his nephew, Ben Kruger live in Austin. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Wilma Young, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, several nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces, and many friends.
He will be remembered as an advocate for pro-life issues and the welfare of mothers and their unborn children. He was a devout Christian and wanted to share his love of Jesus Christ with everyone.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
