Larry "Bubba" Perkins

of his sister, Pat Kurz on Wednesday May 2, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Beulah Perkins. Larry is survived by his sisters Barbara Compton and Pat Kurz, brother-in-law Gary Kurz and nieces/nephews, Sheri Gaster, Jodie Fitzgerald, Kishalyn Martin, Lorie Compton and Cliff Compton as well as numerous other family members. Larry graduated from MacArthur High School and went to Southwest Texas University where he was a Sigma Nu. Larry worked for the Texas Department of Cosmetology until he retired as the Interim Executive Director. In recent years, he worked as a realtor for Bradfield Properties. A lover of the outdoors, Larry enjoyed all sports and played baseball, golf and was an avid fisherman. He also loved hunting, boating and feeding the many deer around his home that he adopted as pets. A member of Trinity Church, his love for Christ gave him a passion for people. He lived life to the fullest with his family and friends all of whom will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday May 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held Monday May 7, 2012 at Trinity Church, 5415 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Church.
