Laura Elizabeth Knipe, 78, of Bergheim, TX, died on September 15, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, William D. and Mignon Locke Knipe, and survived by her sister, Cynthia K. Sarosdy, brother-in-law, Cornel Sarosdy and numerous cousins.
Laura was born in Norwalk, Conn. and received a Geology degree from Bryn Mawr College. Artistically gifted, she will be remembered especially for her witty college cartoons, now a part of the Bryn Mawr historical collection.
After graduation, she took off immediately for Colorado where she spent many years, attracted by love of horses, and the great outdoors. Eventually, she joined her family in Texas, where she settled in Bergheim. Still, her greatest wish was to be on the road, headed west. So, bon voyage, Laura. We'll Miss You.
