Robbie - I saw where you signed Mouse's dads guestbook and Laurel wasn't included. Then I saw that she had passed. I am so sorry for your loss.

It is important to remember that you must never double dose. If you miss a dose, don't go back to it, but continue following your schedule and take the next dose.

Laurel Jane was my first and best AF supervisor, a great mentor, and dear friend. She taught me how important it was find a good balance between work and play, to give your best at both, and to share your heart. She helped me find confidence in myself. Since I moved north and Laurel's health tood a dive, I missed talking with her. But she stays near in my mind/heart - To this day, I still draw on her advice, and the examples she set, to get me through my days. I'll never forget her. My heart and love goes out to Robbie and the friends and family who, I know, loved Lala so.

Laurel was a kind and loving friend that I grew to know in the past few years. Laurel had a special way to touch those around her in a special way. She will be missed by all her friends and loved ones.

We will miss your loving smile, sharp wit and pleasing personality.

What a wonderful and loving human being with a tremendous heart. I was so sorry to learn of her passing, except now she doesn't have to feel pain or worry about cholesterol but can kick up her heels once again. What a character she was! The night after she died I saw a shooting star. My first thought was that God and Laurel were already having "issues"!

I knew Laurel from my time in the States in the early 80's when I was working at Lackland AFB on assignment from the UK. Laurel was introduced to me by a mutual friend, and Laurel then became a close and dear friend during my time in the USA. Thinking of her and family at this sad time.

I worked with Laurel for the Air Force for 10 years. She was a great and funny friend and colleague. I'll miss her very much.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Laurel's death. I will always remember her . . . her humor, love of animals and her kindness to everyone. She will be missed.

I was so very sorry to hear of Laurel's passing. It has been many years since I had talked to her, but I have thought of her often. I have many fond memories of her and our days together at the old Air Force Human Resources Lab where we worked together. I will always remember her for her sense of humor and her laugh. Everyone who worked at the Lab was considered "a family." To lose someone who was a part of that is a loss we all feel despite the passage of time, distance, how far apart we have grown. I mourn with you and pray that you find peace in knowing that Laurel was loved and cherished by so many in her extended family at AFHRL.

My tenure at the Air Force Human Resources Laboratory coincided with Laurel's. Many times she assisted me in obtaining computer files that I needed for my research. I could always count on her to be prompt, thorough, accurate, and pleasant to work with. Although our relationship was only at the professional level, she was one of those co-workers that left a deep and favorable impression on me that I will never forget. I am sorry to hear of her passing and offer my deep and sincere condolence to all those near and dear to her. May she rest in peace.

Laurel leaves behind an empty space in our every day world but assuredly she also leaves rich and happy memories of her compassion, her love, and her devotion to her many animal friends. Laurel, no doubt you are already busy caring for the blessed heavenly animals!

I remember working with Laurel when I was working at the Air Force Human Resources Laboratory in the mid-70's. She always had a smile for us.

Life as we know it will be a lot less interesting without Laurel in it. My heart-felt prayers are with Robbie and the rest of Laurel's family.

I remember Laurel best from the early 70s at Lackland, when she worked with Johnny Weissmuller and was always so nice & bright, and helpful and capable. And she was always delightful whenever I would meet her her every time after that.

Laurel was a great support and help to me and to many of us at AFHRL -- more importantly, however, when she came to see me or vice versa, I always knew I would be smiling when she left. What a great person and now a great loss.

When I was in the Air Force, Laurel taught me how to work, when to play, the importance of Spring, and all about Tortoises. She was one of the major people who formed my career and who I am. I will remember her, her companion, and her family in my prayers.

I will always remember Laurel's bright eyes and easy smile, spreading a little bit of extra sunlight around to all of us who saw her everyday.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of our fiend Laurel. Our deepest sympathies go out to all those that loved and supported her during her remarkable life. Laurel was a loving, intelligent, attractive, woman who lived a courageous life with multiply medical problems. We knew her as a caring person who loved and respected nature and all animals. We will always admire her and her spirit.
