Larry was born in Bay St. Louis, Ms. to Lawrence J. Favre, Sr., and Ursula Favre on September 2, 1940.
Larry had a love for sports and dancing. We met 31 years ago dancing at the Farmers Daughter. He always teased me about putting the line out to hook me.
He grew up playing ball, he told me that was the first toy he could remember having which lead him to playing all throughout his life. He and Irvin Favre played baseball with the semi pro leagues in the south and he was in the Mississippi Hall of Fame for sports. His years of working with Little League Baseball was his greatest joy though, especially when they played in the Babe Ruth Championship. When he moved to Beeville he worked with the Umpire Association for high school sports. When he could no longer run the court, he started playing golf and became the left handed state champion of Texas.
Larry was known for his quick humor, his love of storytelling and his love for children, especially his grandchildren. In our family he was "Grandpodge". He worked for the Postal Service for 31 years, then the AISD as a bus driver for 10 years. He was voted the number one bus driver for his district.
We love him very much and will miss him dearly. I put your boots on so when I get there we can dance to our first song, Silver Wings.
Larry is preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Ursula and daughter Pamela Cure.
Larry is survived by Candice Favre (wife), Children, Gwen Barrett, Stephen Favre (Cindy), and Lawrence Favre III (Lisa), Brother, Ronnie Favre, 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation services will be held at 10 am on November 8th at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Tx.
