

Leonard Zittle, Jr. passed peacefully into the loving arms of His Lord and Saviour on Sunday a.m. June 12th, 2016 at the age of 79 years. "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 33:27. "I will show thee the paths of life; in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand are pleasures forevermore." Psalms 16:11
Leonard was a lover of his Lord, of his beloved wife of 57 years, Carol, of his children and grandchildren and an avid lover of life. He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Griffin Zittle; his daughter, Stacey Kay Chapa and her husband, Jeff of Summerville, S.C.; his daughter, Kimberly Bila and her husband, Justin, of Richmond, KY; and the delights of his life, his grandson, Anthony Chapa; and his granddaughters, Rebeccah Elise Chapa and Caitlin Elizabeth Bila. Also surviving him are his sister, Ida Mckenzie and her husband, Jack, of Marble Falls, Texas, his nephews, James Andrew Nevitt and Christopher Paul Nevitt and Paul's wife, Nicole Nevitt, great-nephews, Kyle Christopher Nevitt and Michael Nevitt, and great-niece, Taylor Michelle Nevitt. All of Leonard's descendants gave him great joy. He was predecessors by his father, Leonard Zittle, and his mother, Leona Emma Eberhardt and father-in-law, Troy Donald Griffin Sr, and mother-in-law, Elsie Helen Reiwald Griffin.
Because of his great affection for people, a friend nick-named him "Huggy Bear." Leonard will be remembered as one who adored children, and they reciprocated his affection. A man of great faith, spirit and cheerful wit, of integrity and generosity, he was dearly loved by family and friends as well as clients. A native San Antonian, Leonard received his degree from St. Mary's University in 1962 and practiced tax accounting for over forty years. He was active in many church activities, in Bible Study Fellowship, Child Evangelism Fellowship, One Way International and was an elder in several churches.
Celebration Services will be held at Christ Fellowship Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18th, 2016.
Graveside Service on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park.
