Leonor "Noni" Olivares

Leonor "Noni" Piña Olivares, aged 94, passed away on July 5, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on September 18, 1929, Leonor dedicated her life to her family and her craft as a seamstress, bringing warmth and beauty into the lives of those she touched.

Leonor was a vibrant soul known for her loving, caring, and joyful nature. She was deeply family-oriented, always putting her loved ones first. She was a hub of joy, filed, with the sounds of laughter, music, and the hum of her sewing machine. Leonor found great joy in dancing signing, and sewing. Each stitch she made was a testament to her meticulous care and artistic flair.

She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Dolores Rosales and Consuelo Rincon; sons, Robert Olivares Jr., Joe Olivares, and Andrew Olivares; son-in-law, Manuel Rincon; daughters-in-law, Sylvia Olivares and Gloria Olivares; brother-in-law, David Olivares; and sister-in-law, Gloria Olivares; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Leonor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert C. Olivares Sr.; brothers, Arturo, Juan, Gregorio Jr., and Pedro Piña; and sisters, Andrea Alvizo and Luz Don.

A service to celebrate Leonor's life will be held at Treviño Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas, on July 18th. The funeral home is assisting the family during this time, ensuring that her farewell is as warm and loving as the life she led. Leonor's memory will be cherishes in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A committal service will occur Friday, July 19, 2024 at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237.
