Leroy Vargas Esqueda

Leroy Vargas Esqueda, born on July 22, 1942, was called home to be with the Lord, on January 31, 2017 at the age of 74 in San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandson Julian Jesse Perez III, brothers; Gabriel, Richard, Pete, Lorenzo Jr., Gilberto and his loving parents Valentina and Lorenzo Esqueda. Leroy was a painter and was a member of the local Painter Union. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Leroy is survived by his beloved wife, of 50 years of marriage, Rose Mary Esqueda, daughters; Debbie Miller (Johnny), Cynthia Diaz (Lupe Jr. ), grandchildren; Orlando, James, Valerie, Kelsey (Matt), Jaden, Johnnie, Jacob (Jessyca), Monique (Manuel), Claralis, Lupe III, great grandchildren; Savannah, Athena, Alexander, Stephen, Damien, Nathan, Rylan, Orion, sister Vicenta Esqueda and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home after a 9:00 a.m. Chapel Service on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 with Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
